[Part 3 of an 11-Part series]

Ministry: Afshin Ziafat Ministries
Full Podcast: Jonah: God’s Heart of Compassion
Date: 8/29/10
Speaker: Afshin Ziafat
Topics: The historicity of Jonah–Jesus Christ Himself referred to Jonah; Matthew 12:38-41 – “The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here“; In 40 days, Nineveh will be “broken”–either broken on the outside (destroyed) or broken on the inside (repentant); God is sovereign over every detail of life; 2 Peter 3:9 – “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance“; God is longsuffering and has orchestrated things in your life to draw you to Him

Jacob: Thank you for posting this. Preaching like this should get us all excited about our Christian faith. When I hear the converted Muslims preach the gospel it always seems to have a extra “zing” to it!!
