I also came across a separate MLK, Jr. quote that I found quite remarkable… and quite biblical. It’s from the book “Strength to Love“, which is a collection of classic sermons preached by Dr. King:

PRESS RELEASE: International Day of Peace Special Worship Service

In commemoration of the International Day of Peace and the G-20 Summit
being hosted in Pittsburgh, East Liberty Presbyterian Church (ELPC) will be
hosting a special “Evening Worship with Taizé Music” on Wednesday,
September 23 at 7:00 pm.

For the past ten years, ELPC has provided Wednesday evening services
shaped around the liturgy and music of Taizé worship. This ecumenical
worship model includes meditative chants, silence, candlelit worship
spaces, and extended times for prayer. Taizé worship developed after
World War II in an effort to bring together people of faith from different
religious backgrounds, and it continues to offer a rich, liturgical option for
many worshipers at ELPC’s weekly services.

Embassy officials from the G-20 nations have been invited to send
representatives to this special worship service, with a dessert reception to
follow afterwards.
