Derek & Sharon Gilbert from P.I.D. Radio discuss the moon landing and the return of Christ…
Show: P.I.D. Radio
Full Podcast: P.I.D. Radio 12/11/11: Arab Spring, European Winter
Date: 12/11/11
Hosts: Derek Gilbert, Sharon Gilbert
Notes: Media Spotlight, produced by Al Dager… Dager makes the observation that since we are told in Scripture–in prophecy–that all nations and tribes and peoples will see Jesus returning on the clouds, that it means Jesus will have to return before humanity spreads out into the galaxy; Have we ever been to the moon?; It’s impossible to believe that we got there on a computer that didn’t have the computational power of a Commodore 64; We made it in a spacecraft that was essentially covered with aluminum foil, and made it through the Van Allen belt, which is a radiation belt that will fry just about anything; Bart Sibrel’s documentary “Astronauts Gone Wild”

Chris Pinto discusses the true beliefs of the founding fathers with Derek Gilbert from A View From the Bunker…

Show: A View From The Bunker
Full Podcast: VFTB Live: Chris Pinto — Hidden Faith of the Founding Fathers
Date: 10/29/10
Host: Derek Gilbert
Guest: Chris Pinto
Topics: The key message of the documentary, “The Hidden Faith of the Founding Fathers“; As believers, Jesus says to us… “my kingdom is not of this world”; The Bible says “here we have no continuing city, but we look for one to come”; We’re looking for a city whose maker and whose builder is God, not man; As Christians, we are strangers and pilgrims upon the earth during our time here–our cause, our fight, is for the defense of the gospel of Jesus Christ; People are compromising the gospel so they can defend the founding fathers and the principles of the American Revolution, when the founders were antichrists; The spirit of Antichrist is going to compel you to compromise the gospel so you can achieve that more perfect worldly union that the devil wants mankind to have… but that’s not what Jesus came into the world to do; The only peace that mankind can know is through faith in the Son of God, Jesus Christ–He is our peace, He’s our salvation, our hope; The philosophies and the wisdom of men ultimately come to nothing; The Bible warns “cursed is the man who trusts in man”–we don’t need to trust in the founding fathers of America… we need to put our trust as Christians in the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Word of God; Ultimately we need to compare this information–like everything else–against the plumb line, which is the gospel of Jesus Christ

Topics: The idea of “separation of church and state”; James Madison is considered the “father of the Constitution”… he writes extensively about a separation of church and state, over and over again; We’re told by guys like David Barton that the separation of church and state is just based on one letter from Thomas Jefferson writing to a baptist pastor, where he uses the phrase… but that’s not true; It was a very pointed and deliberate thing they did keeping God out of the Constitution–they even had a vote in Congress about it; The Treaty of Tripoli – drafted during the administration of George Washington, ratified by John Adams; Article 11 of the Treaty of Tripoli says that the government of the United States is not in any way founded on the Christian religion; According to what other researchers have published, the original Arabic treaty does not have Article 11 in it… somebody inserted Article 11 later on when it came to America; According to Moncure D. Conway (19th century historian), George Washington himself was the one who drafted it, and he sent it over to the Senate, presumably to be added to the treaty… it was unanimously agreed upon on the floor of the Senate; It’s not a very good argument to say you’re going to deny Christ to make the Muslims happy… that’s not a godly Christian example for a “Christian” nation to set for anyone; The Senate ratified it unanimously–you’d think that if there were Christians in the Senate who were really disturbed by it, at least somebody would have objected to that part of the treaty; Dr. Ashbel Green said the revolutionaries were infidels… Dr. Bird Wilson preached a sermon and said that none of the men representing the new revolutionary government were men making a public profession of Christianity

Topics: There are a lot of mysteries through the founding era; The documentary “The Hidden Faith of the Founding Fathers“; Quote from Charles Thomson, the Congressional Secretary, who was said to be the man the most familiar with the Revolution and the heroes of the revolution; Thomson had written a detailed history of all the events that took place… he was encouraged to publish it, but instead destroyed it because he didn’t want to “undeceive future generations”; So many of the founders were a part of different secret groups… they were not only plotting against England, but they were also plotting against Christianity in America; Quote from Congress in the 1880′s… “If the American people had suspected that the Revolution was hostile to Christianity, that Revolution would have been strangled in its cradle”; The purpose of the Revolution was to push Christianity and the Bible out the door… the problem is that the American people didn’t know it–they didn’t realize what the founders were trying to do; The founders were deceivers, and they put forth documents that really did not represent the interests of the American people at that time… because a vast majority of the people in the country were Bible-believing Christians

Topics: George Washington had 3 pastors… Bishop William White, who was his pastor on and off for over 25 years, said that even though he was often in Washington’s company, he never heard anything from him that would suggest he was a believer in the Christian revelation; Reverend James Abercrombie said openly that Washington was a Deist; Washington refused to take communion in church; Bishop White wrote that he never saw Washington kneeling in prayer in church; All the images we see of Washington kneeling reverentially and crying out to God is not really an accurate picture; Dr. Ashbel Green (the Congressional Chaplain for 8 years while Washington served as president) had lunch with Washington on a regular basis, and he said he knew it to be the case that while Washington had respect for the Christian religion, he simply did not believe in the divine origin of the Bible or the Jewish-Christian revelation–he didn’t believe the gospel… that was very typical of the revolutionaries; Part of the influence of the Enlightenment comes from Jean Jacques Rousseau, who believed that Christians were too heavenly minded to be of any earthly good to the State; Rousseau thought there should be a national religion that would unite a country, but that it shouldn’t be Christianity–that is what the influence of the founders has been; That is what the religion of America has become… sort of this national idea

Topics: We have this image of George Washington through visual images–the painting of Washington kneeling in prayer at Valley Forge; Washington’s prayer book; Washington was not the Christian man that he is portrayed; If you go to the Mount Vernon Estate website, they talk about the prayer book–the prayer book was not George Washington’s prayer book; It was discovered about 100 years after Washington died; It’s not Washington’s handwriting, and the prayers that are in it are from the Book of Common Prayer from the Anglican Church of England–they are not personal prayers; Mount Vernon insists that it’s not Washington’s prayer book… it’s not his handwriting; None of the prayers in it were in any way representative of anything Washington ever wrote in his own letters as a grown man; They suspect the prayer book because it showed up a hundred years after he died–almost like somebody put it there intentionally; They also put a scripture on his tombstone 30 years after his death

Topics: Thomas Jefferson specifically made reference to the credibility of whether Jesus could suspend the laws of nature at will; Jefferson said the laws of nature tell you that miracles can’t happen–that it’s not “reasonable” to believe that; In the Declaration of Independence, when they make reference to the “God of Nature” and “Nature’s God”, those phrases specifically reject the supernatural God of the Bible; They believed in the God of Nature–the God that they could perceive through their natural wisdom… that’s the overriding principle of the Enlightenment; The warnings of false teachers in the book of Jude… Jude 1:4 – “For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.”, Jude 1:10 – “But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.“; Jude’s warning of false teachers is a perfect description of the founding fathers of the revolution and so many of the teachers of the Enlightenment–they were all speaking evil of the things of God in the Bible, and were all exalting their natural wisdom

Topics: The whole argument of the founding fathers as alleged Christians is being used by people like Glenn Beck and David Barton to energize Christians and entangle them in this political right-wing agenda… to politicize Christianity in our American system and “take America back” to the founding fathers; The problem is… the founding fathers–by biblical definition–were antichrists; The Bible says “who is antichrist but he that denies the Father and the Son”–this is something you can prove about most of the chief founders; The founders were really deceiving the country because a lot of their views were not known by the greater body of the population; There was a movement during the Civil War era where Christians were trying to get the Constitution re-written to include references to God, and specifically references to the Lord Jesus Christ; People have been arguing against what the founders did since the Revolution–for the last 200 years; The revolutionaries were not Christian heroes–they were antichrists who were trying to destroy Christianity in our country… that’s the shocking revelation

Topics: We can’t let the enemy–the powers and principalities that Paul wrote to the church at Ephesus about–drive us and provoke us into hating those with whom we disagree; By allowing ourselves to be drawn into that kind of anger, we’ve already lost; We’re fighting against the wrong enemy… we’re not wrestling against flesh and blood; By believing another person is the enemy, we have already lost the fight; Christians are simply running in a different race… or we should be
